Q: Do you accept walk-ins?

A: Yes!  However, appointments come first. So, get here as early as possible.  If we cannot fit you in immediately, we will set you the earliest appointment we have available.  (We require a $10 cash deposit for appointments.)

 

Q: Can I make an appointment over the phone?

A: No. Our artists need to see you and your design in person to assess the length of time necessary to complete your work. (We also cannot price tattoos over the phone.)

 

Q: Do you accept credit cards or personal checks?

A: We will accept VISA and MASTERCARD. However, there is a 5% wiring fee. We do not accept personal checks.

 

Q:  What do your piercing prices include?

A:  Our piercing prices include implant grade, autoclave sterilized jewelry, comprehensive verbal and written aftercare instructions, free consults and jewelry changes for the life of the piercing and 24 hour access to Kris on facebook for any after-hour questions or concerns you may have.

Bodean opened his first tattoo shop in Richmond, Kentucky in 1990, after an already 8 year career as a tattoo artist, giving him approximately 30 full years in the business, up to date.  With the aid of four other concerned tattoo shop owners, in 1992, he approached the Kentucky Department of Public Health and succeeded in prompting regulations for sanitation guidelines within the tattoo industry.  In 1997, he opened his second shop in Lexington.  Finally, in 2000, he brought his talents solely to Somerset and has been here to date.  He specializes in black and grey, cover-ups and portraiture.  However, as you can see below, he does a wide variety when it comes to tattooing!  When he is not working, he enjoys life as an avid outdoorsman and hunter.  Bodean works at both of his shops, a couple days a week.  Come in for us to set you up an appointment with him!

Penny, Bodean’s better half, has been piercing since the shop opened in Somerset.  She loves anything to do with the outdoors and her grandchildren, which is where she spends most of her time.  She is also a very active community advocate; she’s constantly involved in things such as promoting the reinstatement of the original Boy Scouts of America in Burnside.  However, she still manages to full time book keep for the shop and be the glue that holds us together.  If you can catch her at the shop, she’ll pierce you right up!
